Team structure and hierarchy

One of the things we avoid with a passion are dense, slow, and complex hierarchies that form the corporate chain of command. Our flat team oriented structure allows for direct access and communication between team managers, engineers, and the executive staff. There isn't an open-door policy because we do not consider any such doors to metaphorically exist between us. Each team consists of a small number of people (5-10) with a single lead for the team and a dedicated team manager. Synergy, communication, and sharing efforts between teams is encouraged. We fully support and endorse, within limits, the freedom to decide on your main location of work so you can have the environment that allows you to do the best work you are capable of doing.
