Rotterdam, The Netherlands (July 15th, 2002) -- Animagic Development is
pleased to announced that is has entered into a formal agreement with mantiCORE
Labs regarding a joint strategic partnership that aims to develop and bring
mantiCORE technology to the clients of Animagic.In today's broadcast and film
industries it is clear to us that custom development based on middle ware and
commercially available products is reaching a technological ceiling that more
than often limits the solutions that can be implemented within the demanding
time constraints of modern day's production cycles. While development of custom
solutions or plugins outside of the commercial domain of products such as
Discreet's 3ds max and Alias Wavefront's Maya has traditionally been more time
consuming there is still a lot of ground to cover which, of course, Animagic
remains dedicated to. In addition to setting new standards for the quality of
solutions, and in particular the speed at which they can be implemented and
deployed, mantiCORE technology will be adopted by Animagic as a basis for future
developments that do not represent plugins for the products that Animagic has
offered solutions for in the past decade.
Entering this strategic
partnership means that technology between Animagic and mantiCORE Labs will be
shared as to further the rapid progress mantiCORE Labs has been making already
while Animagic and its clients can benefit from having the technology integrated
in a suitable platform that will satisfy the high demand for quick and complex
solutions in the industry for the next decade. Animagic will be using the
mantiCORE Foundation Architecture as its main basis for custom solution
developments and will gain all the benefits from technologies such as geometry
abstraction, application framework integration, and
Intelligent-Images(tm).
Clients of Animagic can now benefit from an even
better and more advanced framework into which their solutions can be developed.
The mantiCORE Foundation Architecture provides a framework for rapid development
of applications in the areas of 3D animation, 2D visual effects and compositing,
and rich media creation and management including digital audio and video.
Simultaneously to this strategic partnership, Animagic will be supporting Linux
as a viable operating system. The demand for Linux based solutions has increased
tremendously over the past two years and with the mantiCORE Foundation
Architecture it guarantees that Animagic can deliver the most demanding of
solutions within acceptable timeframe's.
The details regarding the
strategic partnership are confidential. No stock or company assets have been
transferred between Animagic and mantiCORE Labs and both companies will remain
independent business entities.
