Softimage XSI and covers the fundamentals. When time allows there will be follow-up articles
published which will take a closer and more in-depth look at the various aspects of Softimage
XSI such as the Net View, Synoptic Editor, Scripting, and lots more.

| ANIMAGIC TO CANCEL SUPPORT FOR PRODUCTS BY DISCREET, INC. |
Rotterdam, The Netherlands (September 25th, 2002) -- Effective
immediately, Animagic and its subsidiaries have decided to cancel all support
and development services regarding products of Discreet, Inc. [Discreet] (a
division of Autodesk, Inc. [Autodesk])
This decision is a direct result
of a situation that has caused a conflict between Animagic, its founder, and
Discreet. Details regarding this situation and what influenced this decision
will be disclosed at a later date. The confidence and faith in Discreet, its
direction and its products, is no longer sufficient for Animagic to sustain any
involvement or to continue to render services based upon that.
It is well
known that Animagic Development has diversified its business activities in areas
that include products that compete directly with products from Discreet. As part
of its business strategy it has, as always, been serving customers with timely
and cost-effective solutions and custom add-ons for a wide range of products. We
understand that this does not always result in preferential treatment towards
Discreet's products, and in fact should not result in such seeing as Animagic
and its subsidiaries are not and have never been, part of the sales channel of
Autodesk. With many of our customers transitioning between Discreet's products,
that we have supported, to competing products, we have consistently been able to
provide these customers with our excellent services.
For customers of
Animagic that have not yet transitioned towards new, more effective and/or
efficient products but have expressed their interest in such alternatives based
on their individual requirements and preferences we will be offering our
services at a substantially reduced cost. While many customers rely on our
custom solutions that have been developed and maintained over the past years we
would like to extend this service by providing a satisfactory transition path
that is highly cost-effective and will offer security and retention on the
investments that have already been made as a result of having solutions
developed by Animagic.
In the meantime we will continue minimal support
and maintenance of various Animagic solutions and products based on Discreet's
products while working towards other excellent solutions in collaboration with
our customers and partners. In the near future Animagic will also offer the
first mantiCORE based services and solutions in close collaboration with
mantiCORE Labs, which will be providing various technologies, such as
Intelligent-Images Processing Technology, that are applicable to a specific
range of solutions for our valued customers.
